Hi,

I've been trying to install the adesklets on my G4 powerbook. I have the Apple X11 server installed. I have been trying to install it through fink - with no luck. I always end up getting this error during configure:

checking for readline in -lreadline... no
configure: error: Could not find the readline library

I was trying to use the LDFLAGS and the --libdir option to specify where the readline libs were but none of it worked.
I decided to install python 2.4 and readline 5 from scratch - everything went fine but i'm still getting stuck at the same point. Both python and readline installed apparently without hitches so I have no idea what the problem is.
Any help appreciated :D

Thanks for trying this... I never had a chance to try adesklets on darwin myself. Could you send me your config.log by email (syfou@users.sourceforge.net)? I'll try to look into it tomorrow...

My first guess would be a problem with the termcap library (ncurses, tputs or curses), but that's just a guess. ;-)
