While I'm in the procedure of submitting the desklet to the websit you can download it from here

But apparently we are missing two icons from default theme and um theme. weather.com theme had these two icons. They are 46.png and 47.png. So whenever they are needed, desklet just stops working :(

So if someone would create them that would be just great!

All three icon themes are included into the tarball.

Another small thing I noticed:

There is still a small version mismatch at the end of the README.

Yeah, that was really small thing :P
Fixed.

I'm not getting the farenheit degrees to show up....I've changed the config file to both False and 'False' and 1 and 0 ...just to be sure. I haven't gotten either method to give me the right number....I keep wondering if we're going through an ice age or something (7 degress tonight!!??!?). :)

I really like the forecast desklet so far. Only one issue is really bugging me at the moment... The text can be hard to read over the top of the icon, and it looks like the location can also overlap into the forecast area in undesirable ways...

Note that I am using my ZIP code instead of my local station (USOH0195), since the ZIP gives me slightly more useful info for my home machine.

Ironically, having the clouds obscure the useful bits of information is rather reminiscent of most of our weather here in the Cleveland area. :-)

Yeah, this is not the first complain about that issue. In the next release I will just cut off the part of the location name, so you will see just the name of the city.

Does others have a same problem that the font sizes for the location and current weather changes? I guess it happens when the desklet updates the weather info. I'm not sure about that, but the time interval would suggest so.

When I start the desklet the font sizes are as defined in the .py-file for the location/weather, but at some stage it changes it to same as the forecast font size is.

Also as I'm monitoring the desklet right now, I noticed that it changes other, location or the current weather font back to normal one at a time while messing up the other. So weird.

Is it in 0.1.2 version? But I'll check anyway.

Ah.. sorry, didn't notice that there was a new version available.. Have to try that one.

Thnx.

btw. is it possible to change the sunrise/down time to 24 hour clock. Being used to 24h clock it looks a bit odd when the sun goes down before it even rises

By jeepston (Desklet Author), on Wed Mar 16 17:07:56 2005.

Well, generally speaking, there is nothing impossible  I guess I'll do this as aditional config parameter in one of the next releases.

I've also got the problem of haphazard font resizing. But at least when the font is small it doesn't get obscured by the image so much and doesn't overlay the first forecast as much.

0.1.2 version seems to have fixed the issue. Great job! :)
