By DrWoland (Desklet Author), on Wed Mar 16 16:22:58 2005: Modubar.

As some of you may have noticed, the desklets page now contains something called "Modubar". The description attached is a bit too laconic (my fault) but what it means is it's basically Yab, but with the possibility of adding stuff to it. Right now I've only coded a clock "module" but I'm quickly working on more. Anybody willing to help out with the development of additional modules (especially current maintainers of other adesklets) should talk to me and I'll explain what needs to be done for a module to be implemented. I don't know how far the whole module thing will go - if I see in the longrun that maintaining additional modules is tedious (for example, to make a CPU monitor module, I'd have to add statgrab to the dependencies) I might just cut it off at the clock. I am definitely interested in porting the Weather adesklet and will be starting on that soon.

add my vote to that one ....

is there any way we can add modules on either side of the iconbar? I'd like to put modules on the left as well since my bar floats near the bottom center of my screen...too many modules on the right would make it seriously lopsided :D

Anything's possible at zombo.com :P I'll probably make 2 module groups you can define, modules_left and modules_right. Look for that in the next release.

Posting duplicates, aren't you? I know this is not the answer you wished for, but that's the state of things for now... Sorry about that. Yours,
